China Chen's Ding Ceramic: Carry Forward Chinese Craftsmanship and Innovate Ding Ware

China Chen's Ding Ceramic was founded by Chen Wenzeng, the father of contemporary Ding Ware, an erudite master of Chinese arts and craftsmanship. China Chen's Ding Ceramic uses the official porcelain of the Ding Ware in the Song Dynasty as a specimen, follows the ancient Ding Ware technique, and starts from the raw materials. From selecting and refining to drawing, biscuit firing, engraving, glazing and firing, it was awarded the first batch of Chinese national art treasures by the State Administration of Cultural Heritage. The company has always adhered to the concept of quality and innovation, and its products are exported to Europe, the United States, Japan and other countries, and have been well received by domestic and foreign customers over the years.

China Chen's Ding Ceramic Brand History

  • 1976

    In 1972, Premier Zhou ordered the restoration of Ding Ware craftsmanship. In 1976, Ding Ware officially resumed production. The Japanese Prime Minister was very concerned about the restoration of Ding Ware.

  • 1988

    Chen Wenzeng led the team to establish the "Hebei Arts and Crafts Ding Ware Factory" in 1988.

  • 1999

    Auspiciousness Everywhere Carved Vase was collected by the Great Hall of the People in 1999. In 2002, the Lotus Pattern Carved Vase was presented to George Bush as a national gift.

  • 2005

    Awarded as the designated production unit of artworks by the National Museum of China in 2005.

  • 2008

    China Chen's Ding Ceramic was listed as a national intangible cultural heritage “Ding Ware Firing Technique” protection unit.

  • 2017

    The Palace Museum has authorized the reproduction of nine "first-class cultural relics in the collection" in 2017. In 2021, it created the Flower Vase of the Tiananmen Gate Tower for the celebration of "Centenary of the Party".
